  • It's December!

    Happy December 1st Everyone!

    I wanted to wish you all a Happy December! Just think of all of the things of all the things we have to look forward to this month. Snow, Christmas movies, parties, Christmas get-togethers with family, Christmas music, shopping, cookies, egg-nog, beautiful decorations and most of all the celebration of Christ's birth!

    Even though I can't believe it is December already, I am so happy it is here. I love this season! I was so happy that I could put my Christmas background up and that we will be decorating  So, what are you looking forward to this December?

  • Thankfulness

    First of all, I want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all have a wonderful time with family, friends and whoever else you chose to spend your Thanksgiving with. Enjoy your holiday and savor every moment, because it will be gone before you know it.

    Since I will probably be busy making and eating food the next couple of days. Not to mention spending time with family friends playing games, talking, etc. I thought that I would do my Thanksgiving post now.

    This will also serve as a catch up post as I have not been very consistent with my posting. Work and school have been keeping me busy the last couple of months. I have been working 25-30 hours a week and then going to school full-time, so I really haven't had time for posting.

    ~~~~~
    I am thankful for...
    A loving God who loves and cares for me.
    My Family
    I don't think I fully realize how blessed I am to have the family that I do. Some families are really messed up, but I am blessed to be a part of a family that truly loves each other and I loves me. My siblings are some of my best friends and my parents are my role models and have supported me in everything that I do.
    My Friends
    Again I am blessed to have such wonderful friends. I am so thankful that God brought you all into my life. You are like my second family.
    Jess, you double as a friend, so you are in both sections.
  • Stephen's Birthday!
     Happy Birthday Stephen!
    Happy 8th Birthday to my little brother Stephen. He is getting so big and grown up, but I think that he will always be my little brother no matter how old he gets.
    I realize that this is a little late, but I was too busy helping decorate, make food and celebrating to do this post. Plus, we actually celebrated his birthday on Sunday, so I am not too late.
  • Summer Pictures!!!
    Since I don't think I will ever have the time to do a real post, I decided that I would just post the pictures without much explanation.
    These first pictures are the ones that I took while I was Silver Birch Ranch. I went up there to be counselor for the second year. Both Stephanie and I work as councilors and Gloria went as a camper. It was a blast and I can't wait for next year! I hope you enjoy the pictures.
    We are on the way to the river to go tubing. It was a lot of fun, but it hurt especially if you fell out of the tube and had to float down the river without it. The rocks were sharp.
    One morning we got up early to go canoeing and watch the sun come up. It was hard getting up early, but it was worth it the sunrise was beautiful. I am still mad that I didn't take my camera on the canoe. I didn't want it to fall in the lake, but I guess I should have taken the chance.
    I took this picture while I was waiting to go tubing on the lake.
    Here I am! (I am the one on the left)
    Gloria and I on the beach.
    Here is the band!
    This was our awesome speaker Chuck
    This picture was taken just before we went home.
    I guess I did more explaining than I thought, but if you have any questions you can always see Stephanie's SBR posts.
    Have a wonderful day!
  • So...it has been a while
    It has been a while since I have posted so I thought I would do one to catch up. I have been super busy the last couple of weeks. Between work, school and markets I am really never home. At least is seems that way!  Right now I am sitting at school waiting for my next class to start. I am actually outside in a gazebo on campus. I was thrilled that I could get internet access out here as it is too beautiful to go inside and work.
    Work has been very interesting over the last couple of days. Yesterday when I went to work I found out that this morning the Extreme Makeover people would be coming to the store to buy stuff for the family that they are building a home for. Apparently they are building a home for a family in Lena, IL this week and our store was the closest store. Everyone at work is very exited and we all worked really hard to get the store ready for them. They came this morning before the store opened to buy their stuff. Unfortantly, I was in class at the time, so I didn't get to see them. I still think it is pretty neat that they were coming to 'my' store. I have watched the show from time to time and I have always wondered what it was really like. Now I have some idea. Here is an article about the whole project that I found online.
    I also found out that I am going to be going to Indiana this weekend. My great-grandparents both died over the last few years and all of their stuff is being auctioned off. Mom is going there early on Friday and then Stephanie and I will drive there after my market on Saturday. We will end up missing most of the aution, but we will be there in time to visit with family and then we will be able to drive mom home. We are going to come home in time for school and work on Tuesday so it should be a busy, but good weekend.
    And last, but not least...Stephanie and Gloria preformed with their drill team in the end of August, so I thought I would share a few pictures of that.
    Have a great weekend everyone!!!
